Hello hello lovely Readers! A.G. Silver here! I hope you are doing amazing, and if not, *sends virtual hug* you got this!
Now for this week's post, I was greatly inspired by my current life situations. Recently I have had sooo much writing to do… and not the fun type. Late December, my english class was assigned a massive paper that we have been working on ever since then and won’t finish till mid March. So much fun, I know. Pretty much we get to choose a social issue, and each week we turn in a new part of the paper (Research Proposal, Annotated Bibliography, Etc.).
It has been going pretty well so far, though I will be completely honest with you and say I had about two mental breakdowns. But I mean that’s part of life- we all get overwhelmed at times (yes, even writers get super stressed about writing) but we always make it through. To those of you also working on big papers (or other projects) right now, I believe in you! If you are stressed, anxious, or aren’t really sure what you’re feeling but it doesn't feel right, I want you to take 3 deep breaths. Take 3 big breathes, get a snack, drink some water, and put on some of your favorite songs. Just take a second to chill and destress- clear your mind. I believe in you, and hope you can have as much faith in yourself as I have in you <3.
Now on top of that huge school project, I’ve had some extracurricular applications to write essays for as well, so as you have guessed I maybeeee kinda sorta have not written anything for my WIP in… a week and a half?... But it’s okay! iI have 25,000 total words for it at the moment, and obviously I need to prioritize school, so it’s fine. I hope to start writing again once the project is over, so stay tuned!
Onto the word of the week! This week’s word is:
Word of the Week: Saudade
Pronunciation: Sow-dah-duh
Definition: The love that remains after someone is gone
History and Etymology: From the Portuguese word for yearning
Example: Even though he is gone, I feel deep saudade and sometimes still wish I could see him again.
I hope you Readers enjoyed this! Love you and see you on the author side!
