Heyo y’all! It’s A.G. Silver! T.C. and I are both sharing some of our favorite moments of the year, so here goes nothing! I have to say one of my favorite moments this year was after I published Elven Cursed.
I was away with T.C., and when I got home, my younger sister was all excited. Apparently, she had gone out of the house while I was with T.C. and made a friend. She was talking to the new friend, and mentioned that she had a sister named Aurora, and apparently the girl matched up my last name and first name and goes “Wait like the author? I’ve read her book and I follow her on Instagram!”
I don’t know why but it seems crazy to me that my sister meets someone who knows about me?! Like how?! It’s an amazing but terrifying feeling to know people out there are reading my books, but at the same time, it’s like Oh, they read my books?! Definitely a favorite moment for me, because being an author became real at that moment.
My second favorite moment was when Silver Arc got its own domain all those months ago. That was such a huge moment for me because our blog became official, and T.C. and I could start living out our dream. I remember how excited we were, that we could barely talk on the phone and we’re just laughing and shrieking. It was such a fun day and all the joy I experienced is unforgettable.
Lastly, my other favorite moment was when I went to go check the analytics for the blog and found out we had one thousand users. It was a shock to me then and is still a shock to me now. Like how did we go from 15 people to one thousand?! It blows my mind and I am so, so thankful. Knowing that we are helping other people and that they enjoy our blog enough to keep coming back is amazing and I cannot express how happy it makes me. The fact that I can be myself and just talk to you guys and somehow that ends up being helpful to future writers is a dream come true.
T.C. Arc here! Starting the blog has been such an amazing challenge and adventure for me so it is hard to choose my favorite things about the past year. Some moments that stand out for me are finishing my first short story, Hey There Delilah. It’s tiny but it’s a sweet story that helped me realize that I wanted to keep writing for a long time and possibly as a career.
The blog reaching 19 countries just continues to blow my mind because I never thought Silver Arc could reach so far within the first year or even the first five. Honestly, the whole process of starting the blog has been amazing from deciding on our name and designing the site to sharing our writing with others. I am eternally grateful to all of our Readers for their support and love!!
Last of all, I’m so excited for the future of Silver Arc and the projects that are happening behind the scenes!
Before the post ends we have a special treat for y’all! We made an introduction video for Silver Arc which marks the debut of our Youtube channel! Our new channel will be for occasional exclusive interviews, and cover songs that we’ll sing, as well as other videos we try out. We hope you enjoy it and look forward to our future videos!
