Seasons greetings, Readers! Merry Christmas and happy holidays from A.G. Silver!
I hope y’all are having a wonderful day full of joy and fun. To celebrate Christmas, T.C. and I decided to make a little surprise for y’all. Earlier this week, we each formatted one of our short stories, that way they would be available for you to read!
The story that I have for y’all is called When I Sign the Rock. Now it’s a ‘short story’ but the formatted version is actually like 50 pages sooooo… yeah. My version of a short story which is actually not so short ahahah. Anyway, for those of you who don’t know what the story is about, here is the synopsis:
Life is all fun and games in Stanstead- until the Socialist war grows dire, and John leaves his best friend, Bethany, to go fight for his country.
Bethany is outraged at John's rash decision, and can barely bring herself to see him off when he gets deployed. Soon, Bethany watches as the boat pulls away, taking her friend into uncertain lands. The only communication between friends is a series of letters.
But when John stops writing to Bethany, she begins to lose hope.
Months later, she receives a letter- John has gone missing in action.
Bethany's life begins to crumble as no other news arrives of the missing soldier. Her heart constantly questions the loss of her friend and her feelings. Is John more than a friend? And will he ever come back to her?
Now if that intrigued you at all, here is the link to read the story!!!
I hope you enjoy it, and feel free to message me with any comments or questions on the story.
Now, to make your Christmas present even better, T.C. Arc is also making the first draft of one her short stories available! Hers is called Hey There Delilah (based off the song by the Plain White Ts). Here is the synopsis:
Thomas and Delilah have been childhood friends forever, but when Thomas has the chance to go to college and follow his dreams of a music career, the duo finds themselves a thousand miles apart.
Delilah stays home in NYC and starts college, looking for her own destiny and adjusting to life with Thomas not by her side. Thomas decides to write a song titled Hey There Delilah which he keeps secret until the long years of college are over and they can be together once more.
A fictional story behind the popular song, Hey There Delilah is a story of perseverance, friendship and love.
