So today is going to be a little different than usual, because it is both T.C. Arc and I, A.G. Silver here. We decided that since we’ve been doing the blog for a few months, now would be a good time for the Readers to kinda get to know us a bit better. We asked you to send in questions about us, and here we are today, ready to answer. These questions are incredibly fun, so let’s get started!
T.C.: Hello lovely readers, we’ve made it to another Saturday!Y’all sent in a tooon of questions so let’s jump right in!
A.G.: Thank you so much to all the Readers who submitted questions! There were so many good ones, and it was hard to choose which ones to answer! Alrighty, so today's first question was sent in by Emma, and she asked ‘What is your favorite book?’
T.C.: Aaah hard question…
A.G.: Oof that’s a hard one…
T.C.: I’ll try to narrow it down to three, starting with Cinderella and the Colonel by K.M. Shea.
A.G.: Hm… well I have two favorite books, the first one being Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones, and the second one being A Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson.
T.C.: My other two would be… Little Men by Louisa May Alcott and Heartless by Marissa Meyer.
A.G.: Oh those are all good choices.
T.C.: Alrighty, next question from Vic, ‘What is your favorite sport?’
A.G.: Ahaha well I’m not a terribly sporty person so this is hard. Um, I would say my favorite sport is probably basketball. I played in middle school as the power forward, and I had so much fun.
T.C.: I personally love sports, right now I play tennis so I would say that is my favorite sport but I also love volleyball and softball. Ooh and horseback riding but I haven’t ridden in a few years.
A.G.: Onto our next question. This one was also from Vic and she asked, ‘What is your favorite food?’
T.C.: I would say ice cream ahaha, specifically mint chocolate chip
A.G.: Lol ice cream isn’t food. For me, I absolutely LOVE teriyaki chicken and fried rice. It’s sooo good.
T.C.: Okay fine, steak is sooooo good, especially when my dad grills it. That sounds really good right now XD. The next question is from Rose and she asks, ‘What is your favorite mythical creature?’
A.G.: Ahhh I love this question. Okay so my favorite mythical creature is probably a Wyvern or Gryffon. Wyvern are like smaller dragons, but they can spit acid, have extremely tough scales, and are notoriously hard to kill. And Gryffons are just super cool because you can’t lie around Gryffons and their feathers are great for bow and arrows, because their feathers make the arrows always fly true and hit their mark.
T.C.: You can’t ask this to fantasy authors hahah. I’m writing a story about dragons so of course I absolutely love Dragons, but I think Kelpies come in close second. Kelpies are water horses, and yes they sound amazing but their main form of attack is disguising themselves as a wave, and then killing anyone who is alone on the shore. Also, if you manage to mount these equines, its sticky magic will not allow you to dismount! They are incredibly strong, and are masters of deception. Amazing creatures, I know XD.
A.G.: To be fair, every fantasy creature is amazing.
T.C.: Very true.
A.G.: Moving on! Our next question is from RJB, and they asked ‘Who are your crushes?’ We’ll just say our celebrity crushes, ahaha, especially since all my guy friends are more like brothers to me.
T.C.: Ehehe well...I guess I would say Matt Sallee who is a bass singer for Pentatonix a.k.a. the best band on the planet. His voice is simply stunning.
A.G.: Ahaha well for me, it would probably be V from BTS a.k.a the actual best band ever. He has an amazing voice and is hilariously different from your average person.
T.C.: Oookay well we can debate Pentatonix and BTS’s singing greatness later… The next question is from Rose again, ‘If you could have a super power, what would it be?’
A.G.: Oooh another amazing question. Okay so I am not your average person (surprise surprise) so my superpower is a bit odd. I would totally love to have the power to scry on the wind. So you’ve probably heard of the ability to scry on like water and other liquids (scrying is when you see images of what is happening), but when you scry on liquid, you can only see what is happening in that exact moment, and there are many spells and whatnot to prevent someone from being able to scry you on liquid. But if you scry on the wind, there are no limitations because the wind is free- no one can cast spells to prevent the wind/air, because if they did, they would prevent themselves from breathing. And, if you scry on the wind, because the wind is everywhere and has been everywhere, you can even see into the past.
T.C.: Woah okay, that sounds amazing A.G.. Elemental powers are my favorite superpowers, I think water power is my favorite, but fire power also seems really cool. In the series Hall of Blood and Mercy by K.M. Shea, wizards are able to channel raw magic into all sorts of elemental magic. Being able to channel magic into several different forms like in Hall of Blood and Mercy would be my ideal superpower, because I wouldn’t be limited to just one elemental form.
A.G.: Very cool, very cool. So, our next question was sent in by Alejandro and he asked ‘What is your favorite color?’
T.C.: My favorite color is pretty much the theme of our website haha, muted colors of blue and green.
A.G.: Surprise surprise we are twins, because I love all things green, and also light blue-ish grey colors. XD
T.C.: XD. This has been a blast but we have come to the last question which is certainly not the least. It comes from Andrew and he asks, ‘What is writing?’
A.G.: Wow you Readers have some really good questions. In my personal experiences, writing is a way to express myself and write out what I’m feeling. Writing is a way to share my personality and reach out to others in a totally amazing way. The written word enables people to connect and empathize in a way that normally isn't possible, especially with complete strangers from all over the world. Most of all, my writing is… well, me. It’s what I’ve seen and been through. It’s what I feel and what I think of. It’s my dreams and hopes. Writing is just about being myself and showing myself to others. With writing, I can share my imagination and take pride that I made someone's day a bit better with a happy ending, or something to believe in.
T.C.: Deep question, hmmm. Especially for writers, writing means something different to all of us. For me personally, writing is all about expressing myself and my creativity. It kinda sounds cliche but it's true. Even though on the outside I may be quiet at certain times, thoughts are constantly running through my head. I also have a very active imagination so many times I just make up stories in my head. Writing allows me to get my thoughts onto paper and also share them with the world. Writing is all the bits and pieces of me I’ve learned from experiences, the weird little quirks that I have, and the big dreams that I hope to achieve some day. It's a challenge, it forces me to dig deeper in myself, and have the courage to tell the world who I truly am.
A.G.: Well with those fun answers, it is with great sadness that I say our Q&A session has drawn to a close. Once again, thank you so, so much for sending in those questions. It was a pleasure to answer them and let you guys get to know a bit more about T.C. and I. With that, I shall bid you adieu so stay safe and see you on the author side!
