It’s T.C. Arc here and today’s blog is gonna be less writing focused.
If you didn’t already know I LOVE succulents. They are pretty low maintenance and very pretty, and I don’t know if I have any other reasons, but I just really like them. Around last Christmas, I bought two succulents one of them is named Gwendafyn, a Dark Elf Hybrid succulent and my other succulent is Rakel, a Pacific Ice Blue succulent (who knew succulents could have such cool names, right?).
They may be just plants but I get so excited whenever I realize they have gotten bigger or their colors are brighter. Recently Gwendafyn branched out in a certain direction which I thought was a little weird but then she started to grow a bunch of flowers!
Also, I decided to try growing some more succulents from Gwendafyn and Rakel. I found a really awesome website that explained how to grow succulents from stem cuttings and/or leaves.
So far, The leaves are doing pretty well- they have started growing roots and some tiny leaves have started to sprout over the past few weeks. The stem cutting I had died pretty quickly unfortunately but for now, I’m content with the several leaves.
Moving on from my plants, with the coronavirus making people question what to do for school this upcoming year I’ve had to choose whether to homeschool or return to school. I weighed the pros and cons of both sides for a few days before talking with my parents and making the final decision.
I have decided to homeschool! I am going to miss seeing my friends from school but my two closest friends are also homeschooling, which makes it easier. I will also miss playing volleyball and softball as well as certain coaches and teachers who inspired me to do well each day.
The pros of homeschooling are that I have chosen a curriculum that I am very excited to start, which is also more challenging, allowing for more growth overall. I will still be able to play tennis and improve my physical strength throughout the year, and it allows for more flexibility in my schedule.
Now that I have more flexibility in my schedule I will be able to answer my own question: where will writing come in during my daily schedule? I don’t have a set schedule yet so for now the biggest thing is to write every day. It doesn’t matter if it's a paragraph or three pages but I can’t edit anything until it's on the page and it keeps the creative ideas flowing.
Hopefully, you enjoyed this post and I wish everyone a fantastic week!
