Hello Readers!
A.G. Silver here. So sorry for the delayed post, and still no update from T.C. Arc- she is currently at a training session for music education. She’s been so busy we barely have time to talk during the day for the past week (cue a tear falling from my face). Don’t worry, we will update posts once she gets back… which I hate to say it, might take a while. Not because she’s going to be gone for a while but because right before she gets back, I leave for my own training session. I leave on Wednesday for a color guard training session, and I will be gone until Saturday, BUT, right after I get back, I have to pack for another trip. And omg sorry but I have to fangirl about this trip.
Pretty much I will be gone for a little over a week to work in L.A.- Hollywood to be specific. *incoherent screaming *. Yeah okay so pretty much I got selected for this camp (you had to apply and explain why YOU should be one of the 15 people selected from all of the USA applicants. Always fun and totally not stressful) and we will be working in Hollywood and learning from everyone in the industry. Each day, we will visit a new studio/person and see their field of work in the film industry- so we’ll meet with some directors, cameramen, actors, costume artists, makeup artists, etc. Then after we meet with professionals, our camp will film our own short film using everything we learned. So yeah. I’m like, crazy excited.
This is a dream come true for me and I cannot wait to meet the other people at the camp, and the people who will be teaching us what they know about the industry. But because of the camp, I will not be available to post T.C. Arc or I’s post for the next week or two (and the old one that T.C. Arc missed) so… yeah just a fair heads up. I’m so sorry because I know we had said that we would get back onto our weekly schedule but eep y’all… life just kinda gets in the way sometimes.
So yeah it’s a little hectic but I am super excited for the next few weeks. I want to say thank you to all our lovely Readers who have stuck with us, even through the hectic times. We love you so much!
Now onto our word of the week segment!
Word of the Week: Phantasm
Definition: a conception or image created by the imagination and having no objective reality
Pronunciation: fan-taz-em
Etymology: from Old French fantasme, via Latin from Greek phantasma, from phantazein ‘make visible’, from phainein ‘to show’. The change from f- to ph- in the 16th century was influenced by the Latin spelling.
Example: Fae snapped out of her phantasm and back into the harsh reality.
Once again, thank you so much for being here and I hope you have a wonderful week! I’ll see you on the author side!
