Happy Saturday Readers, and for some of you happy summer! T.C. Arc here! As the school year comes to a close two things happen. One, impatience for summer vacation grows. And two, final essays and exams are due. Next week is my last week of school and all I have left is three essays. Today’s post will cover the recent ways I’ve been crafting or as some people may call it...procrastinating. Enjoy!
My sister has a subscription to a crafting crate called the Maker Crate which ships us a fun craft to do each month. Normally we don’t have time to do a box each month but this week she and I have done two together. The first one we did was a metal mobile where we hammered the metal to give it some more texture. Today, I’ve been working on some embroidery. The crate was for embroidering an apron but it also taught me how to make a small patch that you can attach to a bag or something so that is what I am making. The design is going to be a sun and I think I’m going to make the edges of the patch light and dark blue.
Besides crafting I’ve also been practicing ukulele. The songs I play the most often are Rescue by Lauren Daigle and Make You Feel My Love by Adele. I really like how the chords and strumming pattern sound together. I have a tenor ukulele and a lot of tutorials use soprano ukuleles so the song doesn’t sound as good on tenor ukulele’s but those songs work really well. The song I learned most recently was What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction which will be fun to play once I get the chord progressions down. Crafting and playing the ukulele are great ways to relax as well as learn how to do something new so they are perfect to pass the time.
An update is never complete without an update about my succulents so here we go! XD This week I moved eight of my succulents into an outside planter. I really liked having them inside, especially because they had super cute pots but they weren’t getting enough sunlight so outside they went. Fortunately, I have more succulents that I’m keeping inside because they are still doing well. I also have a sort of succulent nursery inside where I’m keeping an eye on some succulents that are growing from leaves. I have so many plants...
Anyways, here are some pictures of my succulents and crafts! What are some of your favorite ways to pass the time? Let us know on the updated ‘Contacts’ page where you can message us! Thanks for stopping by Readers and I’ll see you next week for this month’s author interview!
