Welcome back to another Silver Arc Saturday Readers! T.C. Arc here after a short hiatus. I’m so glad to be back and tell you what I’ve been working on!
A few weeks ago I shared my sonnet Rain Psalm with y’all. I rediscovered my love for writing poems, sonnets in particular, and started to write more which gave me an idea. I’m going to write a collection of sonnets having to do with four different categories.
The first category is Friendship which is mostly inspired by events that I’ve experienced. I think it might be the most relatable category. While it will include light-hearted sonnets, there are some that also contain some sadness because most friendships aren’t always sunshine and rainbows.
The second category is called Headspace. I debated on what to call this category because it mostly talks about different feelings. For me, certain feelings can just circle around and around in my head so it feels like there is no room for anything else. So, I thought Headspace would be a more interesting and fitting title than Feelings or Emotions.
Next, is the Beauty category. I find beauty in a lot of things other than nature, which was the original title, so this category includes different sorts of objects and places I find beauty in. Besides the last category, Beauty includes the widest range of topics and objects of the sonnet.
Last but not least, is Stories. Yes, technically each sonnet I write is a mini-story but, this category doesn’t have a particular theme. In each sonnet, I will try to tell a full story within the fourteen lines. I think this category will contain the most amusing poems within the collection and my current favorite sonnet that I’ve written.
There are a lot more details that I want to share about the project but since I hope to publish the collection this year I think you may just have to wait and see! I hope you have an amazing week and I’ll see y’all next time!
