Hello, hello Readers! A.G. Silver here! I don’t know about you, but for me, this first week of 2022 has been amazing. Not only did my best friend publish her very first book, but I have also been incredibly on top of my own work- both school and writing alike. My next novel’s word count has steadily been climbing and I’m currently at 13,000 words??? Not only that but I’m currently ahead in some of my school subjects. And this is all on top of still hanging out with friends and going to meetings for clubs outside of school??
It is an amazing feeling to be so on top of everything going on in my life at the moment, and I’m really crossing my fingers the rest of the year remains like this. A bit of advice for people who want to be more on top of things: Use a planner. The amount of time and worry my planner has saved me is amazing. I had never really used a planner before but wow was I missing out. It just makes the day so much easier to keep track of. We are all busy people with great minds, but even our great minds are bound to forget certain events coming up or assignments that need to be completed. So try using a planner and see how much easier life gets!
Moving on! It is with great pleasure that I announce the second word of the week for 2021! In case you forgot, our theme this month is Book Related Words. For this week's word, I introduce to you:
The Word of the Week is: Bibliobibuli
Pronunciation (Romanized): Bihb-lee-ah-bihb-yoo-lee
Definition: A person who reads too much/is drunk on books
History and Etymology: Derived from the Greek word ‘Biblio’ which means book, and ‘Bibulous’ which is Latin for ‘To drink’.
Example: For unenthusiastic readers, bibliobibuli can come to be a good insult for their friends that never have time to hang out because they are too lost in a book.
Yay, the second word of the week! I hope you guys will enjoy the rest of the year with years- and never fear we will probably add on a few special segments every now and then that way this doesn’t become a vocabulary class ;p.
Now for those of you who do not follow our social media, here is one of the pictures you may be missing out on:
It’s T.C. Arc and I, both with our debut novels! This was a life goal of both of ours, to both be published authors! It’s amazing we were both able to fulfill this at such a young age, and we can’t wait to see where our writing takes us from here.
I hope you Readers have an amazing rest of the week, and see you on the author side!
