Hello Readers! A.G. Silver here!
This week I wanted to talk about some fun TV shows that I’ve been watching and have thoroughly enjoyed.
So the four shows I’m going to talk about (but don’t worry, I won’t spoil them. I’ll just say why they are my favorites) are Once Upon a Time, Wandavision, The Untamed, and High School Musical the Musical the Series.
Once Upon a Time
So OUAT is a fairytale retelling show, set partially in the modern world and partially in a few fantasy worlds (the worlds switch back forth because of portals and such). The show is completed with 7 seasons, and about 22-25 episodes in each season, each being around 45 minutes long. I am currently half way through the 7th season.
I absolutely love this show because they put wonderful twists on the fairytales and I love how creative they are with adding characters from so many other stories into the plot. Like all fantasy shows/ movies, the costumes are outstanding. They are amazing enough that right now I’m sewing an outfit based off of one of Snow White’s huntress outfits. All the characters have such well thought out background stories, and each of their personalities are amazing. Every aspect of this show is so well planned out so the show is very enjoyable to watch. I’d rate the show a 9 out of 10 stars, for occasional language.
Wandavision
This show is completed with only one season, but that one season is awesome. It is set in the middle of the Marvel universe so if you haven't watched anything else Marvel, you miiight want to go watch a whole bunch of movies that way the show makes sense. Now for those of you who have watched Marvel movies but haven’t watched the show, I highly recommend it.
The show is also set in the modern world, except this time with a touch of Sci-fi on top of the fantasy. The plot revolves around Wanda and Vision, a married couple consisting of a human with magic and a humanoid robot. They move to a new neighborhood and a whole bunch of crazy things happen. I won’t say what happened but I will say there were many laughs, and there were tears. The costumes were not my favorite for the fantasy aspect of it (the historical costumes were pretty good though) but they were overall pretty good. We learned about some of the background of the characters, but I was a bit sad that they left a lot out. There were many scenes that I wish were longer, so we could see how the characters grew up and became what they are (something that OUAT was extremely good at). Overall I’d rate the song about a 7.5 out of 10 stars, for a satisfying short show with a good storyline.
The Untamed
So this is a show I am in the middle of watching. It is completed with one season consisting of 52 episodes, with each episode being about 50 minutes long. For those of you who hate subtitles, beware because this show is in Chinese- which I personally find very enjoyable but I know some people prefer to watch shows in languages they understand.
I absolutely adore this show because it’s way more complicated and thought out than a lot of English shows. It’s a fantasy show set in ancient China with a ton of magic. The graphics are really cool and the costumes are freaking gorgeous. The plot is extremely well thought out, and we get plenty of good background for the characters. I have no complaints about this show whatsoever. It’s honestly one of my favorite shows ever. To sum up the storyline, all the clans go to war over pieces of magical metal that can control the dead. Overall, I’d rate the show 10 out of 10. Hands down one of the best shows I’ve ever watched.
High School Musical the Musical the Series.
Once again, this is a show in a very modern setting. I’m sure many of you have watched the High School Musical movies. This show is set in the same school that the movies were shot. The plot for the show revolves around the cast who are playing characters from the movie in a school play. The characters are super fun, and have cute costumes. The soundtrack for the show is incredible and I looove listening to the songs almost every day. The show currently consists of one finished season and an ongoing second season.
The plot is pretty good, although at times some of the characters (I’m looking at you Gina) kinda seem to get in the way. If you’ve seen the show you probably know what I mean. There’s just kinda this very obvious relationship and she keeps butting in. So yeah… annoying hahaha. Other than that the show is pretty good. Overall I’d rate the show 8.5 of 10 stars.
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the shows I watch, and I hope I’ve encouraged you to try watching at least one of them. I’d love to fangirl over the shows with you! That’s all for this week so bye and see you on the author side!
