Hello Readers! A.G. Silver here! I hope you’ve had a lovely week <3
T.C. celebrated her birthday this week, so if you haven’t already, send her your birthday wishes.
So onto what I’ve been doing with my writing! I’ve worked a tad more on my dark fantasy novel but I honestly have not worked on it much this week. I’ve been really busy with babysitting, cross country practice, embroidery (I run a small embroidery business in my local community), and seeing friends one last time before we go to our separate schools.
Welcome back to another Silver Arc Saturday Readers! T.C. Arc here after a short hiatus. I’m so glad to be back and tell you what I’ve been working on!
A few weeks ago I shared my sonnet Rain Psalm with y’all. I rediscovered my love for writing poems, sonnets in particular, and started to write more which gave me an idea. I’m going to write a collection of sonnets having to do with four different categories.
A.G.: Hello lovely Readers and welcome to this month’s author interview!
T.C.: Today we have with us, Alexa T. Dodd!
A.G.: Welcome Alexa! To start us off, why don’t you tell us what got you into writing?
A.T.D.: When I was a kid, before I could even read, I used to draw pictures and have my mom staple them together to make picture books. I’d “read” them aloud to anyone willing to listen haha. I think I’ve just always loved stories and the magic of being transported to a different world through words. Writing is also often the way I make sense of the world and my life.
Heyo Readers! A.G. Silver again!
So remember how last week I said I couldn’t decide which book to work on next? Well I finally decided! I have decided to work on my 3,500 word idea (which is now at 5,000 words!) It is a dark fantasy novel that I’m hoping to get at least 70,000 words for- who knows it may become even longer. I’m currently tracking my progress for it on the Nanowrimo website, and it’s helping me keep up with my daily word count.
Speaking of daily word count, I feel like I should send out some encouragement to our Readers who are also working on writing projects right now- especially their first official projects.
Heyo Readers! A.G. Silver here!
Sorry for a delayed post- T.C. Arc and I were trying to figure some things out. I know you were expecting her to write a post today, but she is going on a short hiatus while dealing with some affairs. Don’t worry- she’s healthy and fine, she’s just a little busy at the moment. Anywho, I hope you all are doing well. With such short notice because of T.C. Arc, I won’t be able to write very much today, super sorry for that!
Happy Silver Arc Anniversary, Readers! We can’t believe that it’s already been a year since we started helping other authors through the blog.
Today we want to share our favorite memories of the past year, and our goals for next year!
A.G. Silver Personal Goals:
Get through half the first draft of my next book
Put out at least 3 solo covers
Put out one self-written song
Howdy Readers!
A.G. Silver here! Apologies for the late post- as T.C. Arc said last week, we were out of town. We traveled together to Colorado and had the most amazing time! The contrast between flat Texas and the extremely mountainy Colorado was mind-blowing. All the trees, rocks, and wildlife were stunning and the weather in Colorado was gorgeous. We seriously had so much fun and we can’t wait to go back.

Happy Saturday Readers! Today I have a special treat for y’all! This morning it was raining and I was listening to calm music when inspiration hit for a poem. I finished a whole poem in sonnet form and I’m really happy with how it turned out so I’m going to post it here!
A.G.: Hello and welcome back Readers for this month's author interview! T.C. Arc and I are thrilled to announce this month's author- Kathleen Ramirez!
T.C.: Yes, welcome Kathleen! She is a good friend of ours and we had a lot of fun seeing her recently.
A.G.: So to start us off, tell us, Kathleen; what inspired you to start writing?
K.R.:I’ve been writing since I first learned how to spell, and have been illustrating just as long.
Hello hello Readers! A.G. Silver here!
So sorry for the late post this week- as we said last week, TC and I were going to be at a camp. Well right after we came back from camp I got sick so I wasn’t able to post on Sunday. But I’m feeling a tad better now- at least good enough to write.
We had such an amazing time at camp, and being outside so much, and finally being around people renewed my writing sense. This may seem shocking but I actually haven’t written more than 2 pages since I started the publishing process of Elven Cursed… so like a year and a half ago. Yes it had been that long (and trust me I felt horrible for not writing.) I’d maybe get a few ideas and think a bit about my writing but I never really wrote anything and I felt like a terrible author.
Hello Readers, T.C. Arc here! Today’s post will be about siblings and how to realistically portray them in writing. I find that frequently in writing siblings are portrayed as always being nice and friendly with each other or the extreme opposite where siblings are each other’s absolute nemesis. Now, of course, we should be nice to our siblings and strive to have a good relationship with them but part of the fun of having siblings is being able to joke around with them.
Even if you are portraying siblings in a fictional setting, most of your audience will appreciate characters with accurate and relatable relationships.
Hello Readers! A.G. Silver here!
This week I wanted to talk about some fun TV shows that I’ve been watching and have thoroughly enjoyed.
So the four shows I’m going to talk about (but don’t worry, I won’t spoil them. I’ll just say why they are my favorites) are Once Upon a Time, Wandavision, The Untamed, and High School Musical the Musical the Series.
A.G.: Hello lovely Readers and welcome to our May interview!
T.C.: Yes, welcome! And of course, welcome to our guest author Lydia Jane! Thank you for joining us today!
A.G.: So Lydia, what first got you into writing and editing?
L.J.: Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved telling stories. My mom would say that I was always lost in “Lydia Land” where my imagination ran wild. Everything I did was an opportunity to create a story, from my most mundane chores to the treasured moments I spent staying up late, whispering stories to myself so my parents wouldn’t catch me.
Happy Saturday Readers, and for some of you happy summer! T.C. Arc here! As the school year comes to a close two things happen. One, impatience for summer vacation grows. And two, final essays and exams are due. Next week is my last week of school and all I have left is three essays. Today’s post will cover the recent ways I’ve been crafting or as some people may call it...procrastinating. Enjoy!
Heyo readers! A.G. Silver here! I have a surprise for you all! I thought I’d make something fun for you EC fans, so I made a little quiz where you can find out what character you are most like!
I might be making more things like this in the future, so be on the lookout for those!
