Hello, hello lovely Readers! A.G. Silver here! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Apologies for the delayed post- T.C. Arc and I were on our Thanksgiving break (which might I say, was crazy fun).
So first I wanted to say a little about what I did over the break, and then talk a bit about writing, and list some things I am grateful for.
Happy Saturday, Readers, T. C. Arc here! I can’t believe it, but it's already Thanksgiving break! I hope all of you are able to have a restful and fun break. It's also a great time to work on NaNoWriMo and writing in general. During the school year, it can be hard to have a consistent writing schedule so it's good to take advantage of any extra time, even if you are just jotting down a quick idea.
My short story, Hey There Delilah, is almost finished with the publishing process! So far it looks like I will be releasing it during the first week of December so please help spread the word! Keep reading this post to see a sneak peek of the cover XD.
T.C.: Happy Silver Arc Saturday, Readers! For this month’s author interview I am joined by our very own beloved A.G. Silver! So A.G., you have had an important year of writing, especially since you published Elven Cursed and When I Sign the Rock; how have you grown as a writer this year?
A.G.: So far this year, I have learned how to create more detailed sentences that really capture the reader's attention in a story and give them a good picture of what the character in a story is doing. The actions and words tie more easily together, so the story flows better and is easier to process.
Hello, hello lovely Readers! A.G. Silver here! This month is NaNoWriMo. It has been going on for a week now, and I thought I’d check in on y’all and see how your writing is going.
If you haven’t been able to work on writing much, or you are just not sure what to do with NaNo, I have some tips for you.
Happy Halloween, Readers! T.C. Arc here. Now, I know this post didn’t go up on Saturday but bear with me for the title.
A.G. and I had a lot of fun this weekend because not only was it Halloween, but our homecoming week too! Instead of wearing dresses, the dance was movie-themed so we dressed up as movie characters. A.G. went as Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean and I went as Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. Before the dance, A.G. and I even dueled it out with our weapon of choice XD.
Hello Hello my lovely Readers! I hope you have had a wonderful week!
I just watched the movie Dune yesterday and wow it was… something hahaha. The cinematography was really good (and the main character was pretty cute *cough cough*), but I got a little lost with all the weird cults and what not. I know the directors were doing the usual “show don’t tell” kind of thing, but I feel like parts of this film should be an exception to that.
Happy Saturday, Readers! T.C. Arc here. Today, I want to emphasize the impact of words, specifically written words. Before I jump in, I wrote a sonnet about the topic so here you go!
A.G. Silver: Hello hello lovely Readers and welcome to our postponed September author interview. I know last week I had said we would have to save the interview for December, but T.C. and I were able to mess with our schedule a bit, and get it in as soon as possible! So without further ado, here is our conversation with S.K. Valenzuela!
T.C. Arc: Thank you so much for joining us S.K. Valenzuela! To start off, what first got you into writing?
T.C. Arc: Happy Silver Arc Saturday, Readers! Today we are joined by Eris Storm! Eris, you are a romance sci-fi author, how do you find the balance of blending the two genres together?
Eris Storm: I actually find it really natural and fun! The only thing I have to be aware of is to not overload my storytelling with too much of the sci-fi world building (which I do adore) and to focus more on the actual romance part, since that’s my main genre. Romance first!
Hello Readers! A.G. Silver here!
I know you probably expected an author post for this last week of September- we had one planned and were working with the author, but then something came up and we will have to postpone her interview till next month. But never fear, you won’t lose a valuable interview because we will still have the official interview for December!
This post is going to be a bit more of an informative post for upcoming Silver Arc events and plans, so stick around to see what 2022 will bring around!
Welcome back, Readers! T.C. Arc here again. Last week I explained what exactly authenticity is and how to live it in daily life and this week I am going to explain how it affects our writing.
So, how can we apply authenticity in writing? Writing is so personal to each author it’s almost impossible not to use authenticity but, sometimes it can be confusing. For example, I like to write fiction romance stories but in that genre, there are probably millions of books. What if I have some of the same ideas as other people? How is my story authentic if so many other people write similarly?
Happy Saturday Readers! T.C. Arc here! This summer has been a blast and full of fun adventures but I can’t say I’m sad that school is starting again. Now, I’ll be back to a consistent schedule for the most part and extracurriculars are starting!
This year I am working two full work days a week (which I can do since I’m homeschooling) on top of dual credit classes and extracurriculars. I’m very excited to start the school year, but as I was making my schedule, I realized that I definitely need to get enough rest. I’m sure you Readers are also going to be tackling a load of activities this year, so today I aim to give you some suggestions on how to remain energized and ready for all you want to accomplish.
Hello, my lovely Readers! A.G. Silver here! I hope you have all had a lovely week- I know I have. I finally went to a football game and after-party for the first time in forever. I got to meet new people again and overall it was a great experience.
Now for this week’s post, I wanted to talk about something that T.C. Arc and I strive to put into practice: appreciating the small things in life. Being happy about new steps you’ve taken or goals you’ve achieved, no matter how small they may seem. It can be something as simple as never having time to write, but now you set aside 10 minutes for writing a day.
A.G. Silver: Hello Hello lovely Readers and welcome to our latest monthly interview! This week we have the wonderful Rachael Ritchey- the talented author and designer who did the interior and exterior formatting of Elven Cursed!
T.C. Arc: Welcome Rachael! I never get tired of hearing how authors first got into writing because they always have a different story to tell. So, what got you into writing?
Rachael Ritchey: I think it was my 6th grade English teacher. Well, it was the writing exercises we did in her class, anyway. Every day we would have a short writing prompt to follow.
